On Sunday of 4/21/24 from 11:00 AM-2:30 PM, the Ridgewood Branch participated in the Daffodils Festival & Earth Day Fair in order to gain funds and equipment so that we can clean and refurbish the benches in the Ridgewood Parks. Our event was supported by the Ridgewood Parks Department who gave us the spot for free. We decided to sell lemonade and handmade items, as well as coffee mugs and paintings for the fundraiser. We arrived an hour early and started to organize and prepare the fundraising items. We also wrote posters to promote and explain the AYLUS and the purpose of this fundraiser. We took turns to work that day, with a total of 11 members participating. We used fresh lemons to make lemonade on site, which attracted many customers. We also explained to our customers why and what we are fundraising for which helped boost our sales. In the end, our sales reached $285, and after deducting the cost, we earned $181 in profit.
