AYLUS RC Branch Members Volunteer the Love RC event on 09/09/2023
On September 9, 2023, ten members of the AYLUS RC Branch participated in a large-scale volunteer event in our local community called LOVE RC. Rancho Cucamonga, our beautiful community and home to all of us, was the chosen location for this meaningful event. The organizers selected 12 different sites throughout the area and dispatched volunteers to interact with residents, perform voluntary work, and spread love, ensuring that every member of the community felt the warmth. On the day of the event, we all wore matching LOVE RC T-shirts, symbolizing our branch’s participation in this meaningful volunteer activity.
We were assigned to three different locations on that day. Yongxi Hu, Yangxuezhe Sun, and Yixuan Yuan were stationed at Terra Vista Farmer’s Market, one of our locally renowned weekend open-air shopping markets. There, they distributed canvas shopping bags bearing the LOVE RC logo to passersby free of charge. We prepared thousands of bags, and they were all distributed by noon. Witnessing the happy faces of local residents as they received these bags brought us immense joy—it was a truly meaningful and environmentally friendly endeavor.
Two of our members, Haohua Feng and Xia Ning, were assigned to volunteer at Cucamonga Canyon. Their main task was to clean up litter and debris. There was plenty of trash and overgrowth that needed tidying, and after five hours of hard work, they managed to clean up the entire area, making our community cleaner and more presentable—a true display of our love for our community.
The third group, consisting of Zixuan Wang, Eric Wang, Takeshi Abe, Haixiaochuan Rong, and Haidachuan Rong, was assigned to Los Amigos Park. This community park is beloved by residents in the surrounding area, who often visit with their children on weekends. We organized activities for the children, including observing the planting process to help them learn about gardening and fostering an interest in cultivation. Additionally, we set up inflatable play equipment for the children to enjoy and have fun.
Today’s event was incredibly meaningful, spread across various corners of our city with different themed volunteer activities. We wore matching uniforms, spreading warmth and love throughout the community. We eagerly anticipate the continuation of the LOVE RC event next year, continuing to spread joy and positivity in our community.
