On April 6th, 2024, the AYLUS Syosset branch dedicated their morning to clearing a field of invasive vines and trees for Planting Fields Arboretum. Volunteers used metal pitchforks, rakes, clippers, and other tools to cut/pull out vines to gather in a pile to dispose of. In addition, participants also removed other overgrowth such as weeds, branches, and small trees. Volunteers worked from 9:30 to 12:00 to remove excess vegetation from the area.
