2023/07/25 Mercy Soup Kitchen Volunteer to help the community

On 7/25/23, Aylus conducted a volunteer event at Mercy Soup Kitchen. The event aimed to support the kitchen in providing nutritious meals to those in need.

Volunteers assisted in packing loaves of bread and fresh tangerines into individual portions. These packs would later be distributed as part of the complete meals offered by Mercy Soup Kitchen. Before the food preparation began, volunteers helped set up the necessary utensils and cooking equipment. This ensured a smooth workflow during the event. Volunteers washed, peeled, and cut various fruits, including watermelon and strawberries, to create a refreshing mixed fruit platter. A group of volunteers worked together to dice peppers and cucumbers, which would be used in salads and other dishes. Other volunteers peeled cucumbers, ensuring they were ready for use in salads and as side dishes. A dedicated team of volunteers prepared and cut delicious desserts, adding a sweet touch to the meals. Volunteers combined the freshly cut vegetables and prepared salads for distribution to the soup kitchen’s patrons. The meals were wrapped and packaged to preserve their freshness. Volunteers sorted the tangerines, ensuring that only the best quality ones were included in the food packs.

In addition to preparing the meals, volunteers took an active role in serving the delicious food to the patrons of Mercy Soup Kitchen. The warm interactions and smiles exchanged created a positive atmosphere during the event. The volunteer event at Mercy Soup Kitchen was a great success, thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of the volunteers from Aylus.
