On 7/25/23, Aylus conducted a volunteer event at Mercy Soup Kitchen. The event aimed to support the kitchen in providing nutritious meals to those in need.
Event Activities:
1. Packing Bread and Tangerines:
Volunteers assisted in packing loaves of bread and fresh tangerines into individual portions. These packs would later be distributed as part of the complete meals offered by Mercy Soup Kitchen.
2. Setting up Utensils:
Before the food preparation began, volunteers helped set up the necessary utensils and cooking equipment. This ensured a smooth workflow during the event.
3. Preparing Mixed Fruits:
Volunteers washed, peeled, and cut various fruits, including watermelon and strawberries, to create a refreshing mixed fruit platter.
4. Dicing Peppers and Cucumbers:
A group of volunteers worked together to dice peppers and cucumbers, which would be used in salads and other dishes.
5. Peeling Cucumbers:
Other volunteers peeled cucumbers, ensuring they were ready for use in salads and as side dishes.
