On February 4th, the Ridgewood Branch provided support to the 2024 Lunar New Year celebration that took place in Ridgewood High School, NJ. AYLUS members attended this event and helped out with the event. Since the Lunar New Year is widely celebrated across Asian countries, this event had so many attendees, around 600, to the point where all tickets were sold out. This event included a live performance of different Korean and Chinese acts, as well as a banquet afterwards.
In the different roles for the event, Angela Casey was the MC and introduced the different acts that were going to perform on stage, as well as introducing the AYLUS group to the audience and how AYLUS found sponsors for the festival. Other AYLUS members such as Ryan Cheng provided assistance to this busy event by taking care of the food part; he picked up food to serve in the dining hall and passed out food to the attendees of the event. Eric Lee and Roy Sun assisted by handing out the packets for the event for the attendees to take, as well as guiding the audience to their seats. Mike helped with organizing the dressing rooms, and guiding the event attendees. We helped out with the event in many different ways, and by doing so, the festival went much more smoothly.
