AYLUS Bellaire Branch members volunteered at Bread of Life on March 9th, 2024

On March 9, 2024,  members from the AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteered at the Bread of Life incorporation, located in Houston. The volunteers packaged everyday items such as soap, body wash, shampoo, and various other supplies into relief packages. Some volunteers were in charge of throwing away the waste left behind by the packaging.

This incorporation was founded by Pastors Rudy and Juanita Rasmus back in 1992, which mainly aimed to distribute food, hygiene supplies, and support the homeless community in Houston. Every month, volunteers and staff pass out boxes of supplies.

The program started at 9am and ended at 1pm. With the help of the volunteers, the staff at Bread of Life were able to complete packaging everything before the desired time.

Today, a total of 13 members attended the program, including (4 hours): Alexander Tang, Serena Li, Sophia Li, Owen Cheng, Shreyas Sinha, Helena Wang, Victoria Wang, Ryan Li, Miranda Wang, Raymond Hang, Jason Chen, Eleanor Zong, and Matthew Zong.

Reported by Ryan Li.
