Our group volunteered at DCFC special needs program today. We got there earlier than expected, so we went in and waited for most people to arrive. During the first 15 minutes, we were getting taught the 10 rules, and how to deal with certain situations. Then the kids started coming in. We started off with dancing with videos for around 30 minutes. Some kids were being loud so we told them to quiet down, and saw how the teachers did it. After that, we had group study. It was really interesting to see the differences in all the kids. Some could memorize it really quickly, and some had some struggles. Their personalities were all really different too. After, we split up into groups and played some games. One group was playing a board game. Another one was drawing with a video, and the group I was in was playing Uno. They were all participating well.  Lastly, we helped put away chairs and setting up tables for lunch.  It was a really fun, and new experience since for most of us, it was the first time volunteer at these type of things.
