AYLUS Dix Hills Volunteers at Sunday Chinese School
On Sunday March 10th, volunteers gathered at Long Island Chinese School to support teachers in various classrooms.
Volunteers were assigned to different classrooms across various grade levels. They provided support to the teachers by helping maintain an organized learning environment. Volunteers ensured that students had the necessary materials, such as textbooks and pencils, and assisted with the teacher’s lessons.
A significant part of the volunteers’ role involved keeping students on task and engaged in their lessons. They encouraged active participation and helped address any behavioral issues to ensure a focused learning environment.
Volunteers played a vital role in addressing students’ questions and concerns. They clarified confusions related to class materials and assignments. This helped students gain a better understanding of the subjects they were studying.
Volunteers also supported teachers by assisting in grading classwork and homework assignments. They ensured that assignments were accurate. This not only lightened the teachers’ workload but also provided valuable feedback to students on their progress.
