AYLUS San Clemente Branch Members Helped at FAM Food Pantry on March 4th and 6th, 2024

On March 4th 2024, AYLUS San Clemente members Kevin Zhou & Jasmine Zheng signed up for volunteering at FAM food pantry from 3:30pm to 5pm. Together they made goodie bags, where you add various snack foods into bags, double knot said bags, and then put them into a large container.

On March 6th 2024, Jasmine Zheng and Kevin Zhou went to FAM food pantry for volunteering. They worked two hours from 3 pm to 5pm. At first, they organized various foods into boxes to be shipped out to FAM’s clients (there were a total of 21 boxes—each was to be filled with two jars of peanut butter, two jars of soup, two cans of chili, two snack food items, as well as any other staple food item they had until the box was completely filled), and then the two members flattened unneeded cardboard boxes to be scrapped. Afterwards, they helped to load completely organized food boxes onto a pallet to be taken away. Kevin took out the trash from two different trash bins, and Jasmine recycled a box of eight unneeded binders. It was time to clean up after that, so they both swept the facility floor of trash.

Volunteer hours for each members are:

3/4/2024: Jasmine Zheng (1.5h), Kevin Zhou (1.5h)

3/6/2024: Jasmine Zheng (2h), Kevin Zhou (2h)

Supervisor: Dean Zheng
