On 2/28/2024, Aylus Great Neck hosted another tutoring session with two young students at the Great Neck Library Station Branch. All of our volunteers arrived at the library by around 4:30PM.

Two of our volunteers, Kevin Zhang and Ruiqi Liu, went outside of the library’s main room to help one of the students and his mother. We gave her recommendations for academics and extracurriculars in the future, and we helped him learn a little bit of workout form. We also discussed military history and Star Wars weapons, specifically armored vehicles in both topics. After about an hour, we met up with some volunteers who stayed in the main room of the library to tutor our other student.

Katie Wang and Emma Ding stayed in the library’s main room to help the other student with their English work. They helped her through a short response task in order to prepare for the ELA state test coming up.

After about an hour, the two groups met up in the main room of the library, and the four of our volunteers said goodbye to the children we tutored and left.
