On Feb 18th, 2023, Columbus Branch Volunteered at the Bookmark Table and the Fundraising Sale Table at the 2024 Ohio Chinese Festival on February 18th, 2024. At the bookmark table, they helped children making bookmarks from the scratch paper. At the fundraising sale table, they sell handmade beaded red string bracelets, Year of the dragon bookmarks, as well as standardized test prep books and books in Chinese, in order to raise money for Dublin Food Pantry and Engineer Without Borders – OSU Chapter. The fundraising table was a collaboration with the OCCS leadership club. In total, AYLUS raised approximately $70. They will donate $50 to DFP and $50 to EWB.
May other AYLUS members also volunteered on the 18th during the event outside of AYLUS, such as through OCCS leadership club.
Parents of AYLUS members also volunteered at the event.
