AYLUS Oakland Gardens Pick Up Books at CVS (02/24/2024)

On Saturday, February 24, 2024, AYLUS Oakland Gardens members went to their local CVS to pick up books. Because we were near our goal, we took apart the donation bin we had set up prior, as we didn’t need it anymore.

When we went to collect the books, it was to gather the last of the books we needed for this donation, which was 1000 books. Thankfully, there were just enough books for us to reach our goal. Our members would like to thank Amy for helping us in our cause. On this very day, we saw that she was one of the only people working there and was very busy. However, she managed to do the work of 3 people. Furthermore, we informed manager Amy Algo that this would be the last time we were going to be picking up the books. This is because we had managed to collect over 1000 books. She told us that she was very happy that she was able to help us out and that we had reached our goal.

Once more, we would like to thank Amy for supporting us to help us reach our goal. She helped us in the long term to reach our goal. Without her, this would have taken us much longer to provide Africa with one more library.
