2024/2/25AYLUS Volunteers at Long Island Chinese School
and also provide a good Lunar New Year celebration
The volunteers responsibility at the school was to assist in grading students’ classwork and homework assignments. This allowed the teacher more time to focus on classroom instruction and individual student needs.
To encourage participation, volunteers actively engaged with students in classroom discussions and walked around occasionally to check that students are on task.
Volunteers efforts allowed an efficient lesson back from spring break by creating a educational environment.
In honor of Lunar New Year, volunteers also helped create a happy holiday for young children by participating in decorating and organizing events.
