Murrieta AYLUS Lends a Hand to The Little Garden of Hope Project (26th ) (2/3/2024)

Reported by Jessica Lu :

On February 3rd, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members worked on the project.
Members started by pulling weeds out in all of the plant beds. Some weeds were harder than others to get out so members used a shovel for it. Then, they harvested some red peppers before clearing two beds of former grown plants. When the bed was cleared, some fertilizer was brought over to mix in with the dirt before being smoothed out. In the second bed, the lettuce was carefully transferred to the first bed to plant. The adults taught members how to properly plant and arrange the water system and members enjoyed every minute of it. After repeating the process in the second bed, members planted spinach speeds in the second bed. Members will water the plants regularly and hope to see the plants grow soon!
