On Sunday, February 4, Murrieta AYLUS members volunteered at local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers began with taking the seniors outside to enjoy the weather. Taking a few of the seniors on walks, the volunteers conversed with some of the seniors and made sure the seniors didn’t wander off. Taking some time to prepare snacks and juice, the volunteers then collected the cups and bowls and took away a piece of styrofoam that a senior attempted to eat. They ended the morning with a light word game before taking the seniors to lunch.

On February 4th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members played piano at their senior center.
It was a slow day since it was raining and most seniors were out with their family taking a day off. Members played more relaxing pieces such as Gymnopedie and The Autumn Leaves. Some seniors came in to listen to a couple of pieces and some requested pieces that they wanted to hear. Even thought not many people were present, members still enjoyed playing, and after, some staff told members how much they enjoyed their playing.
