AYLUS San Diego Branch Organized 31st Young Writers Club Session (January 20th, 2024)

The “Young Writers Club” project, a program aimed at supporting and inspiring young writers in the San Diego Region, was a great success. Organized by Hans Yang from the AYLUS San Diego Branch, a Young Writers Club Session took place on January 20th, 2024. The project got together and worked on the New Years Competitions that were going on shortly after 2024 began. The project this time also involved themselves in discovering and organizing themselves into specific discipline-based groups.

Furthermore, a Young Writer’s Discord server called “The Nest” has been established. The Nest gives young writers a place to showcase their work. They can also ask for help or provide feedback to other writers.

In addition to providing students with writing help, the Young Writers Club also supports “Libraries with Love,” an organization committed to building libraries for kids and getting books for them to read.

The AYLUS members who participated in the Writing Workshop Series on January 20th, 2024, were as follows, along with their respective volunteer service hours:

Hans Yang (2.5 hours)

Kevin Kan (1.5 hours)

Max Yang (1.5 hours)
