On Saturday, January 27, 2024, AYLUS Twin Cities went to support Special Olympics MN’s Polar Plunge in Vadnais Heights, MN from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, totaling 4 hours of service. The AYLUS members were in charge of checking in and assisting those who wanted to plunge as a way of fundraising and bringing awareness to people with disabilities. Being able to connect with our community and collaboratively support Special Olympics was such a fulfilling experience. We not only got valuable experience of providing these invaluable services at large events (with hundreds of people plunging) but also showed that together as a community, we can bring hope to even more people.
