San Diego Branch Participated the volunteer event at San Diego Food Bank on Jan 3, 2024

On January 3rd, 2024, AYLUS San Diego Branch run the volunteer event at San Diego Food Bank.

Since its establishment in 1977, the San Diego Food Bank is on a mission to connect every person facing hunger with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue.

The San Diego Food Bank provides meals every year to children, families, seniors, college students, military families, veterans, people facing homelessness, and other underserved populations. They distribute meals in partnership with local charities, schools, faith communities, meal sites, and food pantries throughout the region.

AYLUS San Diego Branch set up the recurring volunteer events at the San Diego Food Bank and volunteer students spent 2 hours each time, sorting and packaging foods, decorating backpacks for meals, and sorting files.

The following volunteers participated 1/3/24 event from 1-4pm, 3.0 hours for each:

Emily Zhu, Emmy Zhu, Jessica Chen &

Gavin Zheng, Derek Chen (Gavin Zheng and Derek Chen were new.  They forgot to sign on the sheets and join the group picture after we finished.  We have proof of their individual picture during the event.  In addition, the supervising parent testified they participated throughout the entire volunteer service.  Both members have been notified to follow the signing and group picture process for future events.)
