On January 8th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members helped out their local food bank, Community Mission of Hope. On Mondays, volunteers work on cleaning and setting up for work for the week. The members started with washing the crates. The original plan had been to scrub them in the sink and bring them outside to hose down, but finding that the hose wasn’t working, the members decided to simply rinse them in the sink, too. Although it took longer than expected, they worked quickly and finished in time to help with other tasks. The member sorted and placed breads and desserts on the racks, helped weigh incoming food donations, and did a little cleaning.
