On Friday, December 22, Murrieta AYLUS members conducted a beach cleanup.
The volunteers arrived the morning after some heavy rain and found litter scattered around the parks and shore. They started around the upper parks before circling around the lower parks, cleaning up a trash can’s contents that had spilled. Then, they circled the shoreline, finding some pieces of plastic woven in the sand. The volunteers then circled around the parking lot, finding some remaining plastic litter, before trashing their bags in the trash bin.
