The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteers at Sunday Long Island Chinese School to assist teachers with their classes. As a reoccurring event, volunteers already knew what to do, and assisted in things like helping teachers grade papers and whatnot. Volunteers also helped in retrieving materials for the teacher, cleaning the boards, and helping with class work. Mainly, they watched over the students and primarily looked over the lower grades, where the teachers needed the most assistance. Volunteers worked from 1:30 to 4:30 to help assist teachers and keep the students in line.
