On December 9th, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members and guests went to their local senior center to put on a Christmas music performance.
Lots of guests had come too to help out with the performance. There was a range of pieces coming from the classical era to the contemporary era, with some Christmas songs in between. There was a perfect combination of classical/romantic pieces with fun, pop Christmas songs. Seniors loved the performance and sang along with the pieces they knew. The performance ended with some popular songs that seniors knew such as Sweet Caroline, What a Wonderful World, My Way, etc. Everyone that was present at the concert and was around that area sang along to Sweet Caroline and it was such a memorable, fun experience. After the guests left, some people remained behind to just play fun pieces for the seniors. Members loved the concert and considered it a great success!
