On Sunday, December 10, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers arrived to assist with the residents’ pool noodle workout, then helped them stretch out their muscles. They then poured lemonade and water for the residents to hydrate, before taking the residents outside to enjoy the sun. They scooped fruit into cups to give as a light snack, then took some of the residents on walks around the garden. They also assisted some residents with drinking and eating. As musicians arrived to give a performance, the residents and volunteers enjoyed the show, before the residents were taken inside to eat their lunch.

On December 10th, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members helped out their local senior center, Atria Park of Vintage Hills. After signing in at the front desk, the members headed over to the ice cream parlor to prepare. The members served ice cream to the customers that came in. Ms. Ina showed the members a stuffed octopus she made. She told them that the seniors would make them together tomorrow during the arts and crafts session. As Ice Cream Social came to an end, the members cleared the table and placed the toppings back in their respective places. They signed out and waved goodbye to the staff.
