On December 9th, 2023, AYLUS Warren members volunteered at a meal packing event hosted by Rise Against Hunger. Rise Against Hunger is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending world hunger by nourishing families, supporting communities, providing emergency relief, and more. The meal packing event was attended by 200 volunteers who packed over 20,000 meals for Early Childhood Development programs in South Africa. The meals packed will be sent to the children in those programs to help support them through their education.
AYLUS volunteers funneled rice, soy, and veggies into meal bags, transported bags to be sealed, and replenished supplies at different stations. The event goal of 20,000 meals was surpassed, and the event was a huge success, bringing together members across the community to support this cause.
