On 12/02/2023, members of the AYLUS Syosset branch volunteered at the Brentwood Greenhouse with LINPI (Long Island Native Plants Initiative). Members of AYLUS Syosset Branch enjoyed a wonderful fall day working with LINPI associates. Members started off their day by learning about different plant species that were grown by the LINPI associates, and their benefits for growing these native plants. Then, members of AYLUS cut the stems of Swamp Rose Mallows with pruning shears. Members also put stickers on labels for further plant identification, and then placed the labels into the pots with the correct plant seedlings.
