AYLUS Main Line Helps Thanksgiving 5K Turkey Trot Fundraising 11-23-2023

Reported By: Emily Zou

The Philadelphia area’s annual Turkey Trot races are a tradition in the Main Line area. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the community and raise fund for those who in need, especially during the holiday season.

On November 23, 16th Annual Seven Summits Therapy 5K Turkey Trot was held at Wilson Farm Park to fundraise for the Hope 4 Hoey Initiative. Patrick Hoey, a Conestoga HS ’21 graduate and Penn State Junior, suffered a C5 vertebrae fracture and spinal cord injury in July. Starting from 7:15 A.M., the volunteers of AYLUS Main Line helped hundreds of participants register for their respective events and hand out t-shirts, badges and water. The volunteers then helped guide the runners towards their designated routes and provided moral support for two events, Kids fun run at 8:45 A.M. and the official 5K at 9 A.M., until 10:15 A.M.

Volunteers (3 hrs):

Emily Zou, Melissa Fan, Sarah Liu, Valarie Xu
