West Essex AYLUS Supports Livingston BOE candidate (3rd) in Nov. 2023

In Nov. 2023, West Essex AYLUS worked with Fang Gong’s team to support Gong’s BOE campaign.  Members worked focused on canvassing activities in Nov.  using the prepared script and guidance.  Members talked to Livingston residents, answered their questions and asked them to vote for Gong on Nov. 7th.  Members also attended campaign meetings with Going’s team.

Fang Gong, a mother of two children currently attending Burnet Hill Elementary School, is running for the Livingston Board of Education (LBOE), driven by a vision centered around the fundamental principles of “Excellence, Empathy and Equity.”

Gong is deeply committed to creating an exceptional learning environment that benefits students in Livingston Public Schools.

She is an engaged member of the Home and School Association (HAS) and is the co-chair of the Annual Multicultural Night, which fosters a celebration of diversity within the school community. Through her involvement with Burnet Hill School’s Equity Team, she collaborates with administrators, educators, and parents to ensure equal access to educational resources and opportunities for all students.

Gong played a key role as the contact person for the Livingston Multicultural Parents Group, coordinating donations of AAPI-themed books to the Livingston Public Library and Livingston Public Schools’ six elementary schools for two years.  She is also an active member of Livingston Public Library’s Friends of the Library,

With her extensive expertise, diverse experiences and unwavering dedication, Gong is well-prepared to contribute to the Livingston Board of Education. She invites all community stakeholders to join her in making a positive impact on the education system.
