Murrieta AYLUS Helps STAT Horse Sanctuary (20th) (11/18/2023)

On Saturday, November 18, Murrieta AYLUS members volunteered at the STAT horse sanctuary.
They began with the horse stalls, pausing occasionally to pet the horses while raking up their waste. They ended up getting a second wheelbarrow as having only one filled up too quickly, and they took turns dumping the wheelbarrows at the distant master waste pile. After finishing all of the horse stalls, they moved on to the goat areas. Stepping over the goats and trying not to get bitten, the volunteers cleaned up the loose wet grass and waste before moving on to the next area. After finishing with both the horses and the goats, the volunteers then raked around the trees and benches to clean up the loose leaves. After the work, the volunteers were given fresh eggs.
