On October 15, 2023, members of AYLUS Bellaire branch volunteered for trash clean-up at Evelyn’s Park.
From 5:30pm to 6:30pm, volunteers wore gloves and used old grocery bags as trash bags to collect trash from Evelyn’s park. They frequently picked up plastic straw wrappers, water bottles, napkin, especially in the bushes near the dining area. They also picked up a lot of trash surrounding the trashcan next to the bus stop on the outer sidewalk.
Volunteers covered the whole park including both parking lots and the sidewalk surrounding the park. They collected four bags of trash, each bag weighing between one to three pounds.
