On September 24, 2023, members of AYLUS Bellaire branch volunteered for a trash clean-up at Evelyn’s Park.
Evelyn’s Park is a popular place for gatherings and community events. By cleaning the park, volunteers help people have a good time at the park, as well as protect the wildlife of the park from trash.
Fron 5:30pm to 6:30pm, volunteers wore gloves and collected trash from the fields, sidewalks, and other areas of Evelyn’s Park. Trash that was collected often included plastic straws, plastic cups, papers, snack wrappers, and pieces of plastic. Volunteers managed to cover just about the whole park, and they collected two bags of trash, each bag of trash weighing between one to two pounds.
The following volunteers participated in this event (1 hour): Alexander Tang, Daniel Chan.
