On 9/24/23, AYLUS members went to volunteer at downtown Columbus for the Alzheimers Association’s annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. This is an annual event that the Columbus branch has been volunteering for years. In previous years, volunteers were all at the Thank-you Brigade.
During this year’s event, volunteers contributed to a variety of jobs such as Route Director, Family Fun Zone, Check In Team, Cleaning Crew, and participating in the Thank You Brigade. Their shifts spanned from 9:30am through 5pm. These jobs were important for establishing an important memory for all those who participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event.
