On 9/11/2023 members of AYLUS Syosset branch volunteered on teaching children how to speak Chinese and learn about the Chinese culture. Most of the kids spoke a tiny bit of Chinese and a bit of the portion did not speak Chinese. Teachers that volunteered taught the kids some basic Chinese words and pinyin. We brought some fruits in class to have a better understanding of the object we are discussing about, and we also brought index cards to write on them to help them learn the words better and giving them opportunity to write Chinese and enjoy Chinese.
