Murrieta AYLUS Helps Local Food Bank (30th) (9/09/2023)

On Saturday, September 9, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to the Community Mission of Hope.They first assembled the power washer and got their materials prepared to continue cleaning the crates. The volunteers rolled up the door and prepared their stations before beginning to scrub the crates. As a parent used the power washer to give the crates a once over, the volunteers scrubbed and scraped the gunk from them, before handing them off so the power washer could give a final rinse. Then, the crates were taken to the side and banged against the pavement to shake off the extra water, then left out into the sun to dry. After they’d dried, the crates were stacked onto pallets to then be transported inside. The cycle continued and the volunteers took small breaks in between. Some crates had more gunk and required extra scraping and scrubbing, but the volunteers ended their work very happy with the results.
