On July 8th, 2023, 12 members of the AYLUS Bellaire branch volunteered at the Houston Bread of Life Incorporation for 4 hours, from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Volunteers sorted pallets of hygiene and cleaning supplies which were later separated into relief packages.
The Bread of Life Inc, founded in 1992 by Pastors Rudy and Juanita Rasmus, aims to distribute food, hygiene supplies, healthcare, and education to the homeless community in Houston. Every month, volunteers and staff pass out thousands of boxes of supplies.
The 12 volunteers sorted and organized boxes of hand soap, dish soap, body and face wash, and bubble baths, donated to the Bread of Life Inc by their sponsors. These supplies were then sorted into hundreds of relief boxes to be distributed to people that need them.
The 12 volunteers who attended the event for 4 hours: Serena Li, Sophia Li, Alexander Tang, Ivy Gu, Jason Chen, Megan Wang, Victoria Wang, Delbert Nie, Helena Wang, Miranda Wang, Andrew Liu and Raymond Han.
