Frisco & Plano branch continued collecting used batteries for recycling in local communities on June 22nd 2023

Reported by Jenny Wang

Batteries contain harmful chemicals. This is probably the most important reason why we should seriously consider recycling our used batteries.

We designed AYLUS Batteries Recycling poster and advertised our poster on local social media to advocate the importance of recycling batteries and look for used batteries from our communities.  Many people replied that they have some used batteries for us to pick up at front porch or meet at the community’s club house.  On June 22nd, 2023, we scheduled a total of three families (one family porch pick up, two families drop off at the club house). We stopped by a house and picked up a bag of used batteries. Also we picked up the batteries dropped off by the other two families at the club house.  Most were non-rechargeable batteries and three of them were rechargeable batteries.  We felt elated that we reduced the number of batteries being disposed of as municipal solid waste and spread the AYLUS spirit to local communities.
