The AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteered at Ed White Elementary in Houston on 6/12, 6/13, 6/14, and 6/15.
On those days, AYLUS Bellaire volunteers were assigned to different classrooms where they helped teachers grade assignments and tutored struggling students. Some volunteers helped ED White students learn basic arithmetic, while others helped develop ED White become more fluent in English. Furthermore, AYLUS Bellaire volunteers accompanied students to recess and lunch and provided moral support when needed. Volunteers tutored kids from Kindergarten to the 5th grade from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Subsequently, volunteers obtained 6 hours of service each day they volunteered.
