After we collected hundreds of used batteries, we sorted them into two boxes. One was for rechargeable batteries and the other box was for non-rechargeable batteries. We also collected cardboard from local communities to recycle together with the batteries. When we got to Frisco Environmental collection center, we noticed that the cardboard must be flattened. So two members of our branch worked together to flatten a truck load of cardboard. We will encourage our families, friends and neighbors to recycle cardboard as it is one of the materials with the least environmental impact and 100% recyclable and biodegradable.
