Frisco & Plano branch sort used books in categories for “Libraries with Love” project on April 16, 2023

Reported by Bruce Wu

On April 16th 2023, four Frisco-Plano branch members sort used books in categories of grade level for the Libraries with Love project. The grade levels included K-3rd, 4th-5th, and 6th-8th grade level books. Books that were sorted into these categories will be collected by the Libraries with Love organization and shipped to the developing countries that need more libraries in Africa. Anything that was not for that age category or was too old was stored in separate containers to be used to fund the project.

The process of sorting these books is slow and meticulous, as to be accurate members were required to go over the books themselves or even do research if necessary. It makes the process a lot slower but more accurate, and over 500 books were sorted into categories. To learn more about this project, visit https://librarieswithlove.org for more information.
