On March 19th 2023, from 2PM to 6PM, members from the Frisco & Plano branch hosted the first cleanup of the season at the Cottonwood Creek city park in Frisco. We acquired permission from city of Frisco before this volunteering event.
Despite the cold weather and wet & muddy soil, we managed to collect more than ten bags full of litter and trash! Much of the litter was collected on or under the muddy soil by the creek. Much construction trash was collected including PVC pipe and roof shingle felt etc. There are still a lot of plastic bags hanging on the tree branches by the creek. We will schedule another cleanup event later this month.
