Greater Princeton AYLUS Supports African Children with Electronic Equipment and Sport Shoes (7th) in February 2023

On February 17th, 2023, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued an international volunteering project. GPA members collected gently used sport shoes and electronic equipment, such as smartphones, iPads, and laptops. After sorting out, a group of AfricaCriesOut volunteers will take the donated items to Africa, specifically, Senegal, and have them distributed among African children in need.

AfricaCriesOut was birthed through the Missions Program of the Assembly of God World Vision Ministries (AGWV), in conjunction with Dr. Jun Xu and other key volunteers to help the people of Senegal and Gineah Bissau by providing education, healthcare, and nutrition.

We are excited to announce that while we plan to continue to work closely with AGWV as partners, we have been granted our own independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization status by the federal government.

Our board members are Dr. Jun Xu , Pastor Nilson Teixeira , and Pr. Otavio Marques. Transparency continues to be very important to us, and we greatly appreciate all the positive feedback and support we have received for this exciting transition. There is lots of work to do, and we hope you will continue to help us build on the success we have had in recent years and continue to improve the lives of Africans in need.

Africa Cries Out seeks to support the health and welfare of West Africans by increasing local people’s access to health care and education in highly impoverished areas.

At the heart of our mission, we want to provide children in the West African villages of Senegal and Guinea Bissau the opportunities that every child deserves, a good quality of life and an opportunity to be educated. We want to provide teenagers and adults in those villages the opportunities to keep good health and learn a skill that can sustain their lives.

Therefore, our fundraising is aimed at providing quality educational facilities and programs to enhance lives.

Currently, we have successfully funded three elementary schools, with a fourth under construction. By providing education in math, reading and writing, we hope to give many children a different future. We are also in the process of building a technical school. By providing technical skills in fields of agriculture, construction and healthcare, we hope to let individual students be able to sustain themselves and their families from the education.

Our main goal is to give better lives to these children and young adults. We sincerely hope that with your help, these children can break the cycle of hunger, illness, and even homelessness. Our plea is that you will join us in this battle by donation, adoption and sharing that will give them a better tomorrow.
