On Saturday, January 28, 2023, four members of the AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteered at Ed White Elementary School from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
The volunteers tutored 4th grade students in math and reading. They helped the students improve in multiplication and division as well as teaching them different methods to solve problems. The students read short reading passages and practiced their skills with versatile. The volunteers also played Jenga and checkers with the students.
The members who attended this event were (total 4 hours including 3 hours of tutoring and 1 hour of commute): Hannah Hsu, Katherine Guo, Bob Feng, Betty Feng
