On January 19 2023, a handful of AYLUS Bellaire Branch members participated in fundraising for their own branch at the Dragon Academy’s Lunar New Year Festival Celebration. This year, it would be the Year of the Rabbit, according to traditional Chinese culture and the Lunar Calendar. The main items that were sold included beverages like milk tea and juice, as well as popcorn with a pink theme to them.
Since last year’s previous fundraiser at Dragon Academy was a great success, when the opportunity came around in 2023, AYLUS leaders took the chance to repeat the same process, preparing flyers/signs, preordering beverages, and getting the popcorn for the event. During this event, members were able to accumulate a good amount of profit, plenty enough for future necessities.
At the event on January 19, the members that attended included: (total of 3 hours) Eric Li, Ryan Li, Alexander Tang, Yeong-En Andy Shen, Ethan Liu, Sophia Li, and Miranda Wang.
