AYLUS San Fernando Valley Hosts Potluck Fundraiser and Donates Food to Librarians on December 29th, 2022

On December 29th, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the AYLUS San Fernando Valley branch hosted a winter potluck as a team building event in the conference room of the Oak Park Library to celebrate their two year anniversary. The event also served as a fundraiser, as members could bring 5 dollars to gain access to the potluck. The total money raised, 40 dollars, will be used in future events to buy equipment and supplies.

Members brought all sorts of items to share — water, paper towels, utensils, plates, juice, sushi, fruit, fries, chips, sugar cookies, and pizza. After the potluck finished, members noticed there was still plenty of leftover food. To thank the library for allowing them to use the space, members donated the leftover 10 chip bags, water bottles, juice boxes and cookies to the librarians.

(NOTE: The librarians have asked us not to publish the pictures of us giving them the food.)

Members made sure to clean up the conference room after — leaving it spotless as found.
