On October 9th, 2022, member Jessica Lu went to collect bottles and cans from a local neighborhood.
Member went to the same homes that they’d knocked on before and surprisingly, one of the homeowner’s son even joined the member to collect bottles and cans! She received lots of recyclables from the owners. Some of the homeowners even saved boxes of recyclables for the members. At one house, the first thing that one of the owners said when they opened the door was, “Oh, I remember you! I have some bottles and cans ready for you.” They brought out 2 boxes full of bottles/cans/glass bottles for member and thanked her for her hard work! After going through 2 streets, member decided to call it a day and the helper went back home too. Member appreciated the extra help and will collect more bottles/cans soon!
