AYLUS Roslyn Pays Respect and Expresses Thanks to Police Officers at the Flushing 109th Precinct (1st) on September 11, 2022

On Sunday, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, the Roslyn Branch went to the Flushing 109th Precinct to express our gratitude for the officers stationed there and pay respect to their fallen comrades in the infamous tragedy 21 years ago.

We prepared baked goods- an assortment of cookies, for these police officers to express our gratitude for what they do to protect us. At the precinct, we learned a lot about the daily lives of officers and what they do on the job. We were also privileged with the opportunity to ask them questions about what they did on the job which was a very educational experience.  It was a very informative experience, and we are very thankful for everything these officers do to keep us safe.

Members who participated in this event include:

Yang Amy Wu (2 hours), Zihan Wang (2 hours), Elizabeth Hsiao (2 hours), and Ethan Hsiao (2 hours).
