Raritan Valley Branch Participated in a Beach Cleanup with Save Coastal Wildlife Nonprofit at Cliffwood Beach Waterfront Park, NJ, on 8/17/2022

On August 17th, members of AYLUS’s Raritan Valley Branch assisted volunteers from Save Coastal Wildlife Nonprofit in conducting a beach cleanup at Cliffwood Beach Waterfront Park. All volunteers were tasked with walking up and down the beach in order to pick up trash, which came in different sizes, ranging from glass bottles to cigarettes. In the end, multiple garbage bags and glass jars were filled with trash, making the event a success.

This event helps to prevent plastic and other trash from being washed back into the ocean and mitigates the problem that pollution poses to wildlife.

Thanks to all the members who participated in the beach cleanup!
