AYLUS Birmingham Branch Trains to Work the World Games (July 6, 2022)

The 2022 World Games will be held in Birmingham, AL, and AYLUS has coordinated with the World Games (TWG) as a Youth Volunteer Group. They will help at the Games themselves, as well as with set-up and break-down events.

On July 6, AYLUS volunteers arrived at Avondale Park for archery training. Instructors taught them the following volunteer roles: escorting athletes from the practice area to the competition zones, retrieving arrows, replacing damaged target faces, rearranging targets, and reporting the scores for athletes. Afterwards, the instructors took the volunteers on a tour of the archery site, showing them areas where athletes will compete.
