Phoenix AYLUS transcribes Historical Documents December 2021

Phoenix AYLUS transcribes 30 historical documents as an ongoing volunteer event.

“This document talks about an unmarked aircraft that causes a forced landing of another plane in Italy.”

“I transcribed AEDEPOT Volume 1 pages 73,75,111,112,113. and 134. The transcription took about 4 hours.
Page 73 details the fees in the refresher program, like salaries, travel, and retainer fees. Page 75 is a memo for a chief in charge of the program and it suggests the programs AEDEPOT and AEACRE be reviewed, revised, and renewed. Page 111 talks about why the project (AEDEPOT) is beneficial and why it should be renewed. Page 112 and 113 discuss the recruitment for the program and the number of people needed in each division. Page 134 talk about the costs related to renewing WEDEPOT.”

“I transcribed pages 174, 243, 224, 143, 94, 140, 142, and 114. The transcription took me about 4-5 hours.

174-  Wrote about AEDEPOT plans and interagency coordination and liaison( which they insured that there was none).

243 – Had the cost of military and/or agency aircraft use

224 – wrote about the personnel equipment and other supplies for the programs.
143 – outlines what kind of people are needed in the NE Division and says how recruitment will happen in order to meet the necessary count.
94 – a list of comments about the people in the project, like how someone is leaving on maternity leave.
140 – response to the project renewal by EE Division.
142 – current objectives and in regards to AEDEPOT.
114 – specific training needed – parachute jumping, listed some changes in personnel.”
“I transcribed AEDEPOT Volume 1 pages 219, 192, 257. The transcription took around 1-1.5 hrs

219 – contract with the United States of America for the program.

192 – instructions to apply for a vehicle under the program.
257 – punishment to the trainees if they fail to follow precautions.”
“I transcribed AEDEPOT, Volume 1 pages 256, 223, 162, 156, 157. The transcription took about 2.-2.5 hours

256 – costs for compensation and salary pay for the agents in AEREADY

223 – the start of a memorandum on the renewal of project AEDEPOT for FY 59.
162 – talked about the requirementsfor USCINCEUR OPLAN.
156 – request for extension of project AEDEPOT for another six months.
157 – cost for salaries, training, and travel for the project.”

“These transcriptions didn’t save. I transcribed AEDEPOT pg 182. and  Case #2045, Henry H. Norrington v. Merchants National Bank pg 29. The transcription took around 1 hour.

AEDEPOT 182 – Seems to be a report. They ensured that there were no problems or liaisons within the program. There was also a report of money spent.
29 – A statement for the defendant regarding the case. There were a lot of washed-out letters.”
