In December, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued the preparation of its third Youth Benefit Concert, scheduled for January 15th, 2022.
In 2019, GPA hosted 2 successful youth benefit concerts, one for Ms Su Wei battling cancer and the other for Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad (PFARS) to support its Campaign for the Future with a new headquarters. Our members worked hard to raise $5185 for Ms Su Wei and $5000 for PFARS.
Although COVID-19 pandemic had shut everything down for almost 2 years, GPA didn’t want to stop there and do nothing. Since 2020, our members have hosted over 70 Save A Life events to help people in need, with many fundraising and donation drives. In late 2021, we resumed our monthly music performance program for seniors. Now it’s time for us to resume our Youth Benefit Concert program to help save more lives.
The 3rd Youth Benefit Concert is to raise funds to support New Jersey First Responders. Members will use the funds collected to donate Meals from the Heart to their local heroes. See details of the concert on the flyer. So far, over 70 students have signed up for ~60 programs, including vocal solo, vocal group, piano solo and many kinds of musical instruments.
The 3rd Youth Benefit Concert is organized by GPA members Kevin Chen (12/1, 3 hrs; 12/10, 3 hrs; 12/17, 3 hrs; 12/24, 3 hrs; 12/31, 3 hrs), Jerry Chen (12/1, 3 hrs; 12/10, 3 hrs; 12/17, 3 hrs; 12/24, 3 hrs; 12/31, 3 hrs), Andrew Yao (12/1, 3 hrs; 12/10, 3 hrs; 12/17, 3 hrs; 12/24, 3 hrs; 12/31, 3 hrs), Anthony F Yang (12/24, 3 hrs; 12/31, 3 hrs), and more.
